X800 Driver HELP

Okay,

1) DOOM 3 is the best looking game I have ever seen... IN ULTA MODE!!!!!!!!! I'll post screen shots if you guys want....

2) it ran when i first installed it, however when installed the drivers on the CD that came with it, my computer went into SAFE MODE...and wouldn’t boot up normally...

3) I uninstalled the ATI drivers and the drivers that came with XP automatically installed and it works fine again...

4) whats up with this? are there more current drivers i am unaware of?

5) does this ATI clash with my nVidia chipset in my motherboard?

wow thats messed up. dont u just hate computers sometimes? p.s do u have a wrx? they r so sweet.

what's the average fps you have in ultra mode? I average 28fps in high settings with my mitac 8050.

i got about 50 fps in ultra and i have a 9700

Did you build or buy your computer?
If you built it tell us your motherboard and exactly what brand your x800 Pro is.
If you bought it go to the site form which you bought it from and look for newest drivers or updates. And maybe call your techincal support.
Make sure you have ALL of your windows updates, including SP2.

this is an old post...i got it working...

i did build it, it was an ATI Radeon X800 Pro, my mobo was an ASUS 7N8X-X

i do have a WRX

i avreage about 28-30 fps in ULTRA mode...but it has maxed out at 71 which should be impossible considering doom 3 should max out at 60
