gaim and command line output

hi, this isnt a strictly sager question but i know u guys are the best so i come here

so i have a dynamic IP and i wanna setup a GAIM tool that will let me fetch this when im on the go with my sager (so i can use a fileserver).
Gaim has a "Pounce" tool that will either run a command or send a mesaage for several buddy's events.. say i signon with an acct i make just for this purpose.

i also got a command i can run that will spit out my current physical IP

nslookup host -sil | grep 'Server:' -> ipjptest.txt

this writes "Server: xx.xx.xx.xx" to a text file.

all i need is somehow to get this messaged to me. I might not be running linux on the remote box.

so what am i missing linux gurus?

Use a dynamic DNS service like www.dyndns.org. It's much easier.
