ok people. my new 12.1 arrived two hours ago. the screen looks like the sony xbrite and is slamming. alot of people have been worried. no more need to fret. the machine is really cool looking although there's alot to be said about quality control or lack thereof. enjoy the pictures.btw the screen is so reflective that you see me in the images.

SWEEEEET! What a nice looking computer! Thanks for the pics! So you think the screen is as nice as the Sony w/ XBRITE huh?! Wow....I'm so happy to hear that! Whenever you get some time can you do a review of anything else that comes to mind. I'm ready to place an order.....still deciding between the new Sentia and the Sony S. Tell us all what you this of your new baby!

Looks awsome, You should take a picture of it next to somthing to show the scale, I know I can look at the dimensions but thats no fun. Anyways what was the total price? Is it recommened as is with dell that you buy the extra ram from elsewhere?

Nice work, thanks alot.

What do you mean about lack of quality control though? My big only kind of concern right now is that it might not feel like (quality, keyboard, etc) the big $$$ machine it is, and end of feeling more like the little $$$ case that AW buys from their suppliers... Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thank again for the pics

When the unit is off, you use power cinema to load a linux operating system (takes about 6 seconds). You can play DVD/MP3/AVI/MPG/View Slideshow. Windows power mode clocks the processor to 600mhz for low power mode.

Cisco- are you kidding? A fast-boot DVD player mode....<jaw drops>....I had *no* idea.

What a terrific concept- makes this system even more worthwhile.

Are you serious???

Is it just me or does it resemble a 12" Powerbook with better looks and styling?
