This looks just awesome...I've read all your posts for a while now, and I'm finally ready to buy...I was going to go with the 3790. Then I stumble across this...omg it looks sweet and the price is really nice. They have a good resellerrating and I called them and spoke to a guy for a while...really cool and easy to get a hold of.

What do you guys think?

Thanks,

Ryan

gets kind of hot though. that's the uniwel.

Hmm, since when choosing between Sager and Uniwill has become hard? Uniwill gets hot (bad cooling) and its built quality is kind of cheap. People buy it cause its price is cheap as well but has the AMD 64. Sager stands for quality, quality, and quality again.
If price and AMD64 are not an issue get the Sager.

Thats what I was looking for...thank you zlatanov. It's tough cause I'm a gamer...but I refuse to lug a 10 pound laptop around. I'm assuming the 3790 will be the better gamer over the Powerpro M5:6. Am I correct in this thinking? Looks like the screen would be the only difference...I'm sure this has been discussed before...which is the choice for gaming? I know there are better choices but I need the portability...

They both should be fairly close, since they have the same components. Same CPU options, same chipset, same GPU. The big difference is the widescreen on the 3790.

Are you looking at the right laptop? The 3790 has WSXGA+ (1680x1050) and WUXGA (1920x1200) as options, and the M5:6 has SXGA+ (1400x1050).

Edit: Nevermind! You meant the one that started the thread.

The one linked by RWT in the first post, right under display: 15.4" WXGA TFT LCD with Resolution 1366X768.

You can also get it from Mwave or Cyberpowersystem or ABSPC or GamePC.. or as a barebones from EKM or JazzTechnology or MGEPConline..
Yes some say it gets hot under the left hand, some say it just gets warmish.. but EVERYONE (other than those that find the heat a problem) absolutely love it.

I would buy it too except that I'm still unsure if I want to give up the WSXGA+.. that, and I'm still trying to figure out if it'll take a LV (35W) Athlon64 instead ot the standard mobile.

The Raptor 64 has a few modds according to Xtreme. The 258kao can only handle a gig of ram, while the Raptor can hold 2 gigs of ram. If I am wrong about the 258kao holding a gig of ram please let me know. For the price, I think the 258kao might be a better value. I was going to get a 258kao form Mwave because it was cheap just to hold me off until the pcie came out.
