Hi everyone, long time lurker here at the forums but I've finally got a question of my own. Just thought I would run this by everyone to get a few opinions.
I recently purchased a IXPS with plenty of powerful parts. P4 3.4ghz, 2gigs ram, 8x dvd+rw, RM 9700, WUXGA screen. Originally I figured I would need a lot more than 60 gigs for the hard drive, so I opted for the 100 gig.
Now, I'm starting to question my choice of the 100 over the 60, as it looks like I'm using disk space a lot less than I originally intended. I'm considering changing my drive to the 7200 RPM 60 gig instead of the 100 gig, hoping to gain a little more performance out of this thing. Everyone seems to be recommending the 7200, but since I've already made my purchase, I'm wondering if the performance difference is really worth making the change.
So, what is everyone's opinion on my choices at this point? Should I bother switching to the faster 60, or should I stick with the 100? This laptop is used for lots of high-end programs like photoshop and some software development, but I would also like to be able to really see some good results with gaming as well.
