Hey guys,

Doom 3 looks great on my 19inch Flatscreen SAMSUNG monitor (.23 dpi), but we just got these new hp L1925 monitors in at work and man are they awesome. They are so much softer on the eyes, the picture is a lot more clear...they just rock and I'll be Doom 3 looks 100 times better on these things. Anyway, I have the opportunity to buy one for $500 ($650+ value) and I was wondering if this was a good deal or not. It sounds good to me.

Seems like a good deal but will it be good for gaming? What's the response time? And the max res is low for a 19".

ive looked everywhere for an affordable 19 inch LCD (for around $500) that will give me 1600x1200 res and they do not exist...unless i want to drop $1000 on it which to me seems very impractical.

i'm not sure what the response time is

thanks...how much did you pay for it?
I only paid $430 for it last year although it does not have the DVI input and is only 1200X1024. The 18.1 in though is equivient to the 19in CRT I had Due to the curve of the monitor took about .9 of an inch away anyway.

not to rain on your parade duke but i just ordered a dell desktop (don't laugh)...and i got 20% off + $100 off + free shipping with a 20.1'' <--- the screen alone cost me around $560 ($899 value) the only catch is, is that you have to purchase a computer to get the 20% off. that sounds kinda funny..."i purchased a nice lcd moniter and the weird thing was, it came with a free computer."
