TV-Out interference

Ok, I want to see if anyone else is having any problems similar to this.

I just hooked up my 5660 to my television via s-video. I'm disturbed because theres a constant flicker on the television screen. I screwed around with the flicker control settings in the display control panel, but I couldn't fix the flicker. I then unplugged my laptop from AC power, and the flicker disappeared.

Let me know if any of you are experiencing the same issue.

Thanks.

I'd contact sager, sounds like it might be a hardware problem to me. Otherwise i'd try just re-installing your drivers and double checking all the settings if you waant to be sure it's not software related.

I seem to be having a similar problem on my Acer Ferrari 4000. When the AC power is plugged in, I get interference during s-video tv-out -- in my case, it's a horizontal line that slowly moves up the screen. When unplugging the AC, and running from battery alone, the interference vanishes.

It has only recently started doing this; I've had the laptop for at least a year. The only thing that has noticeably changed is my battery has become a LOT weaker -- from an initial capacity of 4800 mAh, it can now only store 1515mAh (barely 30min useage).

Solved. It turned out to be something wrong with my TV/TV-setup. Unplugging another video input cable (composite) (which was recently put in there) got rid of the interference.
