THe other night i went to turn on my 4780 as usual, but this time it was taking FOREVER to boot up...i mean a good 5-10 min. And then when it finally booted up, everything was moving so slow that it was un-usable. So i powered it down and called it a night i just wasnt in the mood to deal with it. So the next day i go to work and boot it up and again it takes forever to boot and actually freezes this time...after a few tries i noticed that there was a wierd noise comming from the hard drive area. so i gently hit the handrest area....the noise stopped....and the hard drive seemed to work normal again. About 5 min or so later the noise started comming back, so i hit it again and it stopped...i have been having to do this now for the last 2 days...so im thinking something in my harddrive is fried

do you guys think i should send it back to sager? how long do they usually take for repairs? this is both my work and home computer so it sucks. I also have a screen flickering problm and a "dark spot" on the LCD, not a dead pixle, just a spot about the size of a penny that is a shade darker than the rest of the screen...bleh someone help

within 30 days from the purchase of your computer, sager promises to fix your computer within 2 days and ship it back on their watch next day air for free. after that time period but within the 1 year warranty they'll fix it in 3 days and send it back via ground shipping. back up your hard drive and insure your shipment for the full price of your laptop. they'll pay to ship it back regardless. pack it in its original container. those are business days, by the way.

email sager first with the problem and ask for an RMA. they may be able to teach you to fix it yourself, but if not you have to ask for an RMA anyway before you're allowed to ship it.

you'll have your computer back in 2-3 weeks tops from the day you ship it till the day you get it back.

if i were you i'd immediately back everything up and send it back as soon as possible.
