Yi Chen and I both have the Case Logic NCLE2 sleeve. It fits like a glove and I really like it. The only problem is that I can't use it because the pocket in my backpack isn't big enough, but its great for when I am not using the backpack.

You can find it here or at CompUSA's site for about $2 less (I'm too lazy to go find it).

nothing can protect you that bad, if you want to be safe, try rob's case. He flies so the case will be hella good to protect from eerrr... accidentally dropped from the helicopter
jk

Dont be so crazy about it, try shinza.com but i doubt it does anything when dropping

I've been using the CaseLogic one that Wooster and Yi Chen have and I'm loving it. I use it in a normal Northface backpack and haven't had any problems with it since. A buddy of mine is going to give me his shinza sleeve within the next few weeks; if you're still in need of one then, I could tell you how the two sleeves compare.

I also have the caselogic sleeve. now four of my friends have it as well (as I also sold thme on the 8600, I should be a sales rep!) . I use it in my packpack to the library, school, etc. It seems as though it is designed for the 8600, fits like a glove, and the zippers do not rub on the laptop itself. I take care not to chuck my backpack across the room with the laptop inside, but it does prevent scratches and the occasional bump.

Do you reccomend a lock and cable too? I dont have one, and i wanted to get the sleeve with the super shipping saving or whatever from amazon. Ill be going to college in a few days and ill be living in the dorm.

Is it still out of stock...

I used to use the case logic protective sleeve, but I now use a computer case with built in padding. I do like the shinza zero shock sleeve though, pretty cool.

Anyone got it recently? The actual product.
I got it Mid July, ordered it Mid to End of June. I think that Shinza doesn't mass order, but rather does Order on Demand from their supplier in Japan.

I use a very slim case made by Travelon. Not sure where to find it on the web. Bought it for Grace Bros/Myer here in Australia. Very good. Has adjustable sides to fit the laptop. I have it adjusted for my 8600, and it is perfect. Very cheap too. AU$30 (about US$20 i think).

Found it! $24.95. It is really good.

Buy.com has the NCLE2 for $13.09 and I believe it's free shipping. http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10266720&loc=
