What are your opinions about the MSI Megabook L610?

Hi all,

I am planning to take the delivery of a new laptop as my previous one had a tea spill I have decided on the MSI Megabook L610 with 256MBRAM, 30GB 4200HDD, 2.4GHz P4. I may upgrade the RAM to 512 by using the one from my old laptop as they are both the same.

first of all, you're lucky if you can get one this quick. If you can get one in the US, let me know where and how much you're paying.

I think it looks like a great laptop, and plan to get one myself. I would put another stick of RAM in for sure, and upgrade the HD. The alloy case, the multimedia option, and the overall quality will make it a perfect desktop replacement notebook.

My current MSI is a great laptop and very well built.

quick? i could have had it in India on the 2nd August. I know it was officially released by MSI on the 8th but the vendor I am getting it from is the authorised importer of MSI products for Eastern India and he happens to be my brother's bro-in-law.

His landing price is about INR 80K (1USD=46INR). I will get it for about INR 86K with the 40GB HDD and 256MB RAM. I will put in 256MB myself.

So this seems to be considered good. hmmmm

Sounds good to me too.

As a MSI 510c notebook owner, I have to expect that MSI used similar design and construction skills in developing this model. Go for it!
