Far Cry Graphics HELP

Okay, now that I'm done with DOOM 3, i've moved on to Far Cry...

I put the graphic settings on VERY HIGH everything... except I noticed when I started playing, the ground was see through, and i could see the ocean under the land...

after updating the v1.1 patch i opened it up again, and the see through ground was gone, but now i'm getting jagged edges around the people... any thoughts? (see pic)

System specs

2400+
1024 MB DDR PC3200
X800 256 MB DDR
Windows XP PRO SP1
Far Cry v1.1

this is probably a pretty old thread, but all i can think of uninstall drivers. update to latest directx, and install latest omega drivers (ati card right?)

Lower your graphics options to medium or low.

no....

my final decision was sending my X800 back for another...see if it was a card problem... i had all the latest drivers of everything... we'll see how that turns out...

My friend just got a bad 9800 pro. Did all kinds of reinstalls and had visual glitches etc, he returned his and got an x800 instead though. Hopefully your next one will be better!

see thats the thing, i played DOOM 3 with no problems... on ULTRA.... far cry runs well...its just during the cut scenes there are those jagged edges,,,and i turned AA on...and all that crap...we'll see what happens when i get another...
