Boosting Wireless Range

Thread Starter
Greetings,

I was wondering if anyone knew of any XP and/or Registry Tweaks, or websites that house tweaks so I could extend the RECEIVING range of my internal 802.11b WLAN USB in my 8890? I am visiting my brother, and the room I am staying in only gets a 'very-low' signal.

Anyone out there know where I could go to fix this? Every time I Googled this subject, I only got router tweaks. My brother is way too anal to let me touch his system to tweak his router, so I need to try to boost my range capability...

Thanks!

There is an antenna "booster" type of thing on the market that is placed next to the laptop to increase the transmission and receive ranges of WiFi.

Google "Wifi Booster"
