Question about the M9

Thread Starter
Hey, this is my first post here, although i have been reading the forum for a few days. I just have a question about the M9. Is it equivalent to the desktop version of the Radeon 9000? Like, does it have the same specs and would it perform about the same? Or is the mobile version better/worse? Thanks.

EDIT: Oh sorry, i guess i was in the wrong part of the board. Thanks for moving it.

The mobility Radeon 9000 shares the same chipset as the desktop Radeon 9000. They add some features to the mobility version to enable us mobile users to have longer battery life...

I think the mobility versions have lower clock speeds too...not sure about this...

As a matter of fact - this is the first time im hearing about a desktop Radeon 9000 hee hee

Me the n00b!!

I just had a friend over with the radeon 9000 desktop card and I checked his clock speeds and his card is a few mhz faster than what my 8887 was clocked at. But as far as I know the mobility 9000 is nearly identical to the desktop 9000.
