Acer 2012 Radeon 9700 overclocking

Thread Starter
I have an Acer Aspire 2012, and I used ATI Tool to see how far the GPU would go. I tested the core to 450, which is pretty decent. However, for the memory, my laptop only tested up to speeds of 210 before artifacting badly. Is this unique to my laptop, or does Acer just use extremely slow memory in its 2012 series. I have read reports of other Radeon 9700 users getting anywhere from 230 to 260 on their memory overclocks. Is my graphics card memory just very bad? I know that ATI provides the core, and the laptop manufacturer chooses the memory.

If Acer is using a discrete 9700 core, then they chose the memory. ATI also sells 9700s with 64mb and 128mb memory on the GPU.
