Anyone know how to get the wireless card to work in SP2? It detects it, but it says the radio isn't turned on. Can't get it to turn on either.

TIA,

Super

Stupid question, but is the switch set "on"? If it is, maybe reinstalling the Intel software and the Compal app that runs the switch.

Did you install the easy button the came on the CD? I think you need to have all the drivers on the CL56 driver cd installed.

Yes, the switch is on.

I thought of something dumb, I might have done, but I'm going to check it first.

Ok, I ended up reloading with XP one.

Installed the driver, then the ProSet from the CD.

It says the radio is turned off.

When I go to EasyTouch, the wireless power switch is grayed out.

Any ideas?

Yah..don't install SP2 out of the gate till MS gets it cleaned up

Use the Compal CL56 driver CD, and hit the "one-touch" easy install. Then flick the switch on the left hand side of the notebook, and the wifi light should light up blue or orange.

It was fine on my desktop.

Got it straightened out. Turned "off" the radio in the network applet, cycled the power button, then turned it back "on" and it connected.

What a pain.
