Emachines & Best Buy Rebate

I just checked the progress on my 2 rebates and the Emachines one was very prompt in entering it into their database...less than a week after it was received (i did certified & registered mail), but Best Buy still has not entered it into their database, though i got the return slip of the delivered mail about 3 weeks ago...what's your story on getting your rebates? Best Buy's website says that they should have it in their database 4 weeks after they get the forms...is that wishful thinking? Have you guys gotten your rebates?

Got mybest buy rebate after 6 weeks I think. Still no sign from emachines after 10 weeks then I contacted emachines according to their csr it was acknowledged I think last August 2. I sent it last June 3. And then I must wait for another 40 days according to the csr. Still I can't see my rebate status in the emachine website.

I received BB in 5 weeks. It has been 3 months and no sign of anything from eMachines, including the status page. From what I have read in many, many places on the net, I don't even want to fool with calling eMachines to get my money. It will likely be a waste of my time. They won't accept copies after you sent the originals and they were "lost in the mail", so basically all is probably lost for me on the eMachines rebate. I have spent enough time with BB in small claims getting rebateds they have tried to cheat me out of. I feel no need to start it with a new company .

Here's my one stop link for all my rebates!

You need not create a new account. Just use the left panel to select your Manufacturer or Rebate Center.

Thunder, how did you deal with BB in small claims?

Hmm, I replied to this thread a few hours ago at work, but it's now not showing. At any rate, it's relatively easy (and well worth the $200 I got from it). In my state it costs about $40 to file at the court house and get everything rolling. If you don't get a lawyer (I didn't ... open and shut case), that is all you ever pay to the courts.

Yeah I purchased m6809 in late April 2004. I recieved the $150.00 rebate from eMachines in june sometime. Yesterday on the 17th of August 2004, I recieved my $100.00 BB rebate. I was beginning to wonder and have been keeping my eye on this thread. I think their are several issues as to why the rebates might be late for some people.
(1) They lose it.
(2) Probrably farmed out to a 3rd party rebate and its like one head trying to talk to the other
(3) The M68XX is extremely popular....and maybe they didnt expect it to be so. And you know how they like to gain interest on someone else's money and keep it.

Thanks for the link jmschn. I bought my M6805 from BB on June 28 and mailed the 3 rebates( 2 from BB for $150 and $50 and a $100 from eMachine) the next day. Yesterday I received the $50 rebate from BB. Emachine has received my rebate and I will receive it on Sept. 6.
Still don't know anything 'bout the $150 BB rebate, can't find my receipt.
