Sager NP3790 Review - Page 3

I would guess it is clocked higher as it appears to have active cooling on the video. The cl56 doesn't.

Can you fill us in also on the fan noise? Are they on all the time, how loud, etc please.

that didn't stop my review, ogre's review, or gary pandher's review. There is a big demand for information for this laptop. Sadly the countdown has ended, before it got to the big 50 page mark.
well Im sure there is more we can add to the countdown thread
post #44 of 360
we need to convince Luke to unlock it though. But I bet Obimattkenobi may be good at this.

Call it "Countdown ended, now what?"

Nevermind.. Luke@PCtorque is mean!

Also, what ever happened to Adam doing reviews on all new releases?! Havn't seen or heard much from him lately....

Well, it looks like the dream is dead at less than 800 posts....I guess we will have to just blast this one with posts. I am sure that it will be easy with all the reviews and questions that will be coming in.

Oh yeah, this thread is already boomin' and that's pretty cool for it being late night... Most people cruise the forums while at work durring the day... This will explode in the morning I'm sure....

Also, a topic like this gives me a chance to figure out how to catch up with mayaman2 and Ogre's numerous posts
post #49 of 360
He he. It will be hard to catch up to my post count. Anyway Construct, will you do some aquamark and 3dmark01 and 03 for us? And lets see, a picture of the 12 cell battery when the laptop is open.

Yeah pretty damn sad too! because I've been here over a year now, and I'll be no where near that many posts by this time next year.... I normally don't have much to say...

Ok, questions I need answered at some point:

1. Is the lappy stable with the 12 cell. I wish it was flush with the bottom

2. What is the case composition? Any LCD warping?

3. Battery life

THat's it for now....

Mayaman, I did a google for Anna Netrebko ... of course curiosity gets to me... didn't find much.... Who, what, when, where?! Never heard of her. (of coruse I'm culturally challenged...)

Of course, that being if the LCD is darkest setting, the CPU throttled down to 300mhz, and you holding the laptop upside down....

The Sony TR I had, claimed to get 6 Hours Battery Life, was more like 3-4 . If you wanted the screen at Full Brightnes. I am very curious to see however-----------

How long will the 3790 Play DVD's on Battery with the screen at say 70% Brightness?

I-Tunes is the Devil .... returned less search results on stuff I want than my "alternative" music finding software....
I'll check it out....

Any particular thing I should look for?

if it can play the extended edition of the two towers, I will be impressed.
