Yep, trying to locate something to get a listen.... I'm interested in such unique things.... Ever hear of Nightwish ? Kind of a Techno-Goth type...

Of course tonights play list consists of mostly Dance Dance Revolution tunes to keep me awake.

Leads me to next question, would apply to all 3760 / 3790 owners....

Sound Quality from the headphone port.... I remember my 8790 had a HORRIBLE screetching noise from the headphone port....

im presuming its a little less then decent..lol. So if u care about that then get the indigo.

all the 56XX models I had were more than adequate for sound output performance....
im not saying its horrible but i read many reviews saying that the indigo really improves the quality and go as far as hearing stuff in a game or song that they never notice before on the regular sound outputs on their laptops. I still dont know if i should get one, the price is a little steep.

Im in the same boat... not sure if it's the system for me or not.. of course I've got this Desktop to make dissappear first if that be the case...
well your desktop is pretty sweet. 6800 gt and an amd 64. your definitely not going to see that type of performance with a ati 9700 mobility and centrino. but the battery life may be worth it.

Children let us try to stay on topic and not hijack the only review thread. If you want to play the longest thread game feel free to do it in the of topic section, any attempt to do so in the other forums will just lead to the thread being closed and or deleted. Ehhh... have a banana for your troubles

Yeah, I work 2nd shift.....so this is my peak hours....oh well, time to go home now.

Many Apologies Omnipotent One... Of course in some way or another we are all still sort of on topic.... I think.... (except for talking about the Russian Chick... that's my bad)

But I have a question about the system...

Viewing Angles on the screen?! How are they top to bottom?!

Fantastic review and pics, Construct. Thanks alot for giving back to the forum, especially since you had to do extensive traveling to do so. We all appreciate it!

Looks like I'll need to attach my review to this thread. I hope, all things being equal, G-Omaha will let me off the hook re: my prediction. Who could have forseen The Omnipotent One would have intervened in the matter of the longest thread? It's akin to betting a co-worker on a baseball game, only to have the stadium destroyed by a tornado in the 9th inning. Out of my hands. An act of those whose powers are far greater than mine. Despite my overwhelming desire to plead with Luke to unlock the thread in reference, I'm afraid I have little collateral with which to bribe him (I've already donated the left one . . . I still need the right).

Anywho, congrats, once again, Construct, and kudos to PCT for this forum and their lappies!!!

So, is the laptop stable with the 12 cell battery? I can't think that Sager didn't put anything to stabilize it when using the battery. Are the supports "sizeable" (sorry for my crappy english: can you (de)increase the supports)?

One more: What you were using when reached this battery life time?

Thank you.

PS.: Being the first (I think) to post the review for a new model comes with a hard task: answer endless questions... be prepared...
I wonder if the 12 cell has, at the very least, a couple of rubberized sticker pads on its inferior surface? The photos make it look like the rear "legs" are not touching the tabletop due to the height of the battery. Hmmm. The plot thickens.

Of course we'll wait and see, but do you really think such a significant design flaw would make it to production?!
I hope not, mon capitan. Then again, I ordered the 12 cell and, to be honest, if such a flaw is present, as long as there is no side-to-side rocking of the case, I could care less.
I'm sure Construct and Drawmonster will speak to this issue later today. I'll be sure and post my take on Wednesday.
Wow... surfing the boards at 1am and came upon this. LOL
post #80 of 360
well... that 12 cell does look like it's more than 50% of the width of hte machine...
so it looks to be stable... but no pads underneath doesn't look like

y does people ask about if the battery raises the back feet off the desk...
JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICS!!! in all pics posted by sager, Luke, Construct, it does... and i know it'll bother some poeple... not going to bother me tho

neways... i'm 4 sure ordering tomorrow when i wake up... still looking forward to reviews... more importantly impressions!
