Just got to Phase 3! I emailed order_status@alienware.com yesterday and asked them about what an estimated shipping date for it is, but they still haven't responded. Can anyone provide insight on the amount of time communication with them takes? Also, i should probably just call, so which number would i call? thanks so much, shark
post #25 of 50
Calling is always faster. Their email response time is random.

Gossard-

Thanks for the info! I just got an email from them that says it should ship in the second week of September. This seems a bit long, but they also said it could become shorter. What do you think? Are they ususally accurate
post #27 of 50
That seems long to me as well, but first, what are your specs?

Oh my god. How typical. They just changed the sentia case to "limited avail." and set the delivery time to 9/13. These guys just can't seem to get enough of anything in stock, even something as simple as a case. Don't know if there is anything to do about it now. Sorry for getting your hopes up earlier, even if I was just speculating.

when i ordered it was limited avail as well, but the ship date was earlier than the 13th. Now, i just loaded my saved Config and saw that the estimated ship date for it is the 6th. Weird. It seems to me like 3.5 weeks is a bit long for a company who should have gotten building custom computers down to a science.
Heh, how long is this supposed to be in Phase 4? It's not like there are THAT many configurations that it would take DAYS (since ordering on 8/23) to check the configuration....

blah

Hey there!

I ordered a Sentia laptop on August 23rd, and am now at phase 5 on September 5th.

Here's an accurate timeline:

Ordered 8/23
Phase 2 8/24
Phase 3 8/27
Phase 4 8/31
Phase 5 9/5

Heh, seems like 1 day is added to the waiting time between each phase. Let's hope this isn't a trend.

Oh, and here are the specs...

Welcome to the forum bigbangtheorum! You ordered the exact same system I ordered! And on the sale day too. Our computers are probably sitting right next to each other on the assembly line. Not being build fast enough that's for sure!

woah creepy, same system.... I wonder if the storms in florida have anything to do with this?

Sentias are sure popular this time of year
post #37 of 50
Mine was in Phase 9 for two weeks; then jumped to Phase 12 today. I'm certain the storms have caused a great disruption, so I'm trying to be patient. I had visions of the factory/assembly room with rain dripping through the roof onto my open Sentia (in production)....

Just hope my Sentia gets out of Florida before the next storm hits; looks like a doozy....
OMG, that's a horrible vision.....let us never speak of it again!
ahhhh.... the agony......

hopefully phase 8 tomarrow..... prolly not though
post #40 of 50
Whoof! Mine jumped from Phase 9 to Shipping in two days...I wonder if they are pushing them through befoore the next hurricane... keeping fingers (and toes) crossed......
