Ok, i have to buy a laptop and I have some questions:

Which one is better? And is there much difference between it?

And if u have something to say about the amilo d 1840 or the acer aspire 1662 post it plz! (which one is better?) I couldn't find much information about the aspire 1662 with the search..

they are the same tech.
when clocked at the same speeds they go just as fast.
for older games it won't matter.
for newer games I would get the 128 9600 and OC it. 128mb is needed for D3.

the 9700 are the same as the 9600s but are clocked at high speeds.
it is said a mobility 9700 is about the same as a desktop 9600xt.

Hmm, ok. I don't know much about OC. And I want to play HL2 with my new laptop

I think you need 128mb for HL2 also.
OC = overclocking. It is very easy to do, but you need to be a bit careful. Many people on these forums will guide you through the process.

over at legitreviews they have some benches of the asus m6n (9600 64mb) running doom 3.

if hl engine is anything like doom3 engine, ull be able to run HL2 fine on medium settings.

HL2 runs on a friggin 700MHz computer, D3 needs at least 1.5 on the lowest setting

D3 will run on a 64MB video card but not on the highest settings
HL2 will run on pretty much any up todate card
