Widescreen 15"
CD burner/dvd combo drive at least
ati 9000 at least
less than 6.5 lbs

That's about 1/2 of the notebooks out on the market today. Be more specific. What are your primary (and secondary) intended uses?

How big are you on warranites? Name Brands? Processors? Looks? Etc

your choice of HD, i went with 40GB Samsung drive 5400RPM 8mb cache (i don't use my lappy as a storage array, my desktop with 200GB is my file storage)
DVD+RW drive (4x i think, its a toshiba DVDRW drive)
intel pro 2200BG wireless (B + G WIFI)

you also have the option of getting a 2nd battery to go into the opitcal bay, should last 8 hours doing lite surfing etc wtih battery saver on
