Just finished playing 5 hours straight of CS:S. 100 ping in some servers was laggy... but in others I would get 30 and that made for a great gaming experience.

I did the same here Enderet! It was laggy the 1st hour or so, then it was pretty nice. Hitboxes were a little off, laggy, had some problems playing after I did the stress test. Other than that it is great.

Well i would be playing but laptop i whana use my key on is sleeping

lol dont complaina bout 100ping. I got 2mb connection halfway around the world from the usa and i averg 200 :P BUT i dont cause lag. cuz the latency is 0% just takes me 2secs longer to connect thats all lol.

I try and play, but before the game launches, I get an error about Anti-Aliasing.

Here's a screenshot from CS:S. I dont know where all the screen shots went when I hit the designated "screen shot" button. But here's the next best thing (Print Screen, one screen shot);





Oh man, I'm back to a newie status (since I havnt playes CS in a long time) but so far I can still hold up against more seasoned players!


EDIT: Hey, we should get a NoteBookForums CS:S server going! I'm sure you all are up for some NBF CS:S action!

Yeah, the screenshots in game don't work, hopefully just cause it's in beta. Look in the console and you'll get a snapshot not found or something like that. Can either do print screen or hit f4, then screenshot button, saves it in /screenshots, file name is the date, so you still only get 1.

For screen shots - open console and type bind key screenshot, with whatever key you want to bind. It will save them in /steam apps/source beta/cstrike/screenshots as .tga files. There is a way to save them as jpg, but I'll have to look it up.

Splinter Cell PT online is great. Either you FPS or 3rd person depdong on what team. its a great mix

First time I started playing I found it difficult to adjust. It's a great game and the new look on the HL2 engine is awesome. Also, there aren't too many servers running it and they always seem to be full.

Should I stick with the moniker "Dead_MEat" (cause i'm not really good) or have the more familiar "RdLdr1"?


p.s. i went to a few servers today and it looks like this 'cheat' is fairly prevalent.
