I think it is stupid for Sager/Clevo to decided to pass up the MR9800 and wait to release a pci-e notebook that won't be available in time for the student shopping season.
Why is it stupid? Guess I don't see your point. Look at all the money in R&D they've have to pony up and for what? Limited sales before PCI-X is made available? Seems like an utter waste, IMO. I think they're doing the sensible thing. It's what? A month?
That's nothing (ask anyone that orders AW- they'll tell you that
). Heck, I waited since January for the 8790 to be released in March. I'm sure this computer'll last me quite some time if I want to stick with it. I fail to see what the 9800 has that is so urgent about needing it *now*.
I say, Good call, Clevo. When they save money by not wasting it on short term solutions, it saves us money in the long run because those costs are absorbed by us consumers.
Just my 1/2 cent worth.
