Guy, girl, it's all the same when you're drunk and lonely.

I second that.. ::Then mentions Sagers to try and attempt to be on topic:: Sooooooo... how much do you think this new machine will cost us?
::Very poor attempt::
post #236 of 436
3500? i think the sum of the components costs should be looked at to determine this. Most likely it will be more expensive than the 8790.

Throwing the tread back off topic,

Is your current computer a guy or a girl and what is it's name?

My computer is a guy, his name is Pug. He likes to play games and brows the web looking for sexy girl notebooks. He wants a nice slim notebook who knows how to have fun. Dosen't like those heavy over weight desknotes. They'er just too much woman for him.

Lol, my laptop's one darn hot girl, literally . She's runs slow but is slim and fragile and has been used by so many people before me. OMG, I'm starting to talk like the other guys in my comp sci class, where Maximum PC magazine = Maxim and PC's are girlfriends u take to the prom...

...and back to topic: whoa, 3500? How much was the 8790 when it came out? I estimated $2200 base price. very poor estimate, which I hope it isn't...

Probably will depend on what chip is offered...if were starting out having to buy 3.6 and up..its going to be pricey..especially with the more expensive ram.. I also wonder if they will discontinue the 8790 once this puppy is released... if its nearly 4k i'll go with the 8790 or run to Dell...Which I don't want to do..

The only thing i'm looking for in a PCI-E Sager lappy is the HDTV tuner, PCI-E upgradable graphics cards, and maybe DDR-2 if they have it. Otherwise, as long as everything else is somewhat the same with 8790, that's all I care about.
