Waiting game....

Hey guys i just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I'm Bill aka CW...I've been in phase 9 since Aug 12....the system was supposed to ship today but is still in phase 9. They said no items were on back order....here's my set up.

I hope this SOB ships soon...i'm getting kinda anxious...i want my freakin' laptop. One person i talked to said it would ship friday, another said it would ship monday, and another said it may ship late next week...I'm just curious as to why others have shipped in the 7 days from the date payment was recived but mine hasn't. I didn't have any back ordered parts. I even asked on the chat, email and phone and everyone i asked said there were no back ordered parts. But at the same time i'm sure everyone and their brother is ordering a computer since school is starting up. IT's just that this is my first major purchase ever. So i'm kinda anxious. thats all really. But when i get it I'm gonna play the mess out of BF 1942, BF Vietnam, FarCry, Doom 3, and Call of Duty!

After awhile I got used to being in Phase 8. I'm not sure how I'll feel when mine moves to the next Phase. It could be unsettling after all this time.

It also helps if you don't visit the AW site. I found myself going there each day and playing around with the colors and touching the screen.

i read on this board that sometimes the phases jump....for example i went from phase 3 to phase 9 in a day...but like i said before i've been stuck in phase 9 for a week. But like i said in a previous post...i didn't have any back ordered parts....so whats the hold up?

I just went from phase 5 to 9 today. Call AW. They may be able to answer the question. If you get some dumba** though, ask for Allen in CS. He was very helpful for me.

i was told that i was between phase 11 and 12 around 4 today central time. Maybe it was finished and be shipped tomorrow?! wishful thinking...but probably not

Hi...Just got to Phase 5 this morning...Looks like the phase game speeds up a little bit after phase 5..Probably wishful thinking on my part huh???...I can't wait till that black box arrives at my door

I think i successfully annoyed Alienware! I got an email from the customer support that started...."As you've been told already...."....I laughed at it. Thought maybe i should back off? Calling, emailing and asking on the chat daily a bit excessive?

They just gotta kinda understand alot of us who order from them havn't made a purchase like this before...and to alot of us...2800 bucks is alot of money!

It is not excessive, Just make sure that when you call them, yopu dont get the same guy. I have had one person go.

Hey, didnt you call 3 or 4 hours ago?

hehe. They should understand, afterall, it is your baby. A very expensive baby.
