stretch while maintaining aspect ratio

Just got my new r3000t today, and so far so good, except for one thing with the video card. it's a 128mb mobility radeon 9600, which i loaded up cat 4.8 for. i configured the system with the 15.4" widescreen LCD. When I'm playing games at less than the native resolution of 1280x800 however, there doesn't seem to be an option to stretch the image while maintaining its aspect ratio, which i was able to do on my old inspiron 8600 with the nvidia 5650. i tried the omega drivers too, and no luck there either.

For some reason, this option is hit or miss wih the Radeon drivers. Not srue why. Most Mitac users and others with WSXGA don't have this option... Check out http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/ they have more info (do a search)

Best you can do is submit a feature request to ATI to make this available to everyone.
