9100 Cpu Temp sensor dead?

Fangui just shows -- for the CPU temp, just happened all of a sudden. Right after I installed the DELL video drivers for 9700. I booted into diagnostics with F8 and it said that all of the sensors tested ok. Is there a way to see the actual CPU temp from the BIOS? or anywhere else besides fangui for that matter.

Any ideas?

Hmm. I pulled the battery, let it sit for a minute, and it's back. Must have gotten confused. Still would like to know how to look at the temp without booting windoze.

Did you pull the battery with the notebook powered on? I lose the temperature sensors a couple times a month and normally have to uninstall and re-install FANGUI to get it back. Could the problem be related to some battery check logic?

No it was off when I puilled the batt.
