There does seem to be a definite backlog thing going on here. I have to remind myself that the vagueries of delivery (hello, Hurricanes) and a sharp uptick in demand all influence availability and speed of build.
Since Alienware appears to be re-positioning itself as a bulk supplier to government, it doesn't surprise me that there are delays.
Also, this appears to be such a totally hot system that I hope they are getting hundreds of orders for it.
