Hey all, I just got Doom 3 and am considering this 9600 upgrade as well. However, I'm concerned that since my Inspiron 8500 laptop wasn't originally designed to work with this card, that I'll lose my video-out functionality. Some of you have done this, does the video-out still work? Also, did it affect battery performance at all? I currently have the nVidia 4200 Go w/ 64 mb of ram, if that makes a difference in upgrading to the ATI. Thanks for your help.
