Are you selling the 80GB drive? I'd like to make you an offer on it.

FLAT out truth....

I paid $150 + shipping for the 80GB drive not even a week ago.
I have proof purchases...ect...I was hoping to sell it w/ the laptop
and part out the 30GB on ebay. At this time I'm not interested in really
selling the 80GB alone. Thankx for the offer though.....

How much RAM does the video card have??? Can you change the video cards on these laptops? How did Doom 3 play? Is this a good intense gaming laptop?

Hi......thankx for the inquiry.

Currently the FX 5200 card is a 32MB. I had Doom 3 on 600 x 800 med. quality. But here's the good part. This lappy has the following cards available for it thru ebay or Dell:

Geforce 4200Go 64MB
ATI Radeon 9000 32MB
ATI Radeon 9600 Turbo 128MB
Nvidia Geforce FX 5650 128MB
Nvidia Quadro Fx 700 128MB
Nvidia Quadro Fx 1000 128MB

And here's the GREAT news. For the buyer of this lappy. I will include:

A laptop video card heatsink. With (2) New tubes of Artic Silver Thermal CPU paste.

The copper plate is if you intend to upgrade to any of these cards or replace the cheap factory foam pads with high quality copper heatsink. It provides excellent cooling for the video cards and is a must for a gamer.

Intructions will be also provided for modding your own video card if you so
choose.

Please excuse my lack of knowledge on the subject of notebook computers but just exactly how would this be done (I don't think I'd want to tear this thing apart) also how much are those cards?

You can pick the cards - $20 - $30
On ebay...Any mini PCI card 802.11G will work. I have instructions on CD and that I can email to you on swapping it out. It is as easy as taking off a bottom cover..snap off two connectors and push the release lever for the card and it'll pop out. Very Very simple. Don't worry..
