Acer 2012 screen question?

Hi guys, I've sort of new posting here but I've been lurking for a while.

Does the acer 2012 come with a glossy screen? How would it compare to the 2025 or a sony xbrite? For me screen is super super important.

Also how hard would it be to swap a bigger/faster harddrive?

I am going to college and I basically have 3k to spend on a laptop, but I was thinking of getting a good mobile laptop with a nice screen thats cheap (2012) and then buying a nice gaming rig desktop once I move out of res. Or I could just splurge and get a super laptop

I'm probably going to place an order on either this, a 2025, or an a170 today.. any input would be appreciated guys

Now for some beer...

As for swapping the HD - it is as easy as in any other laptop, so you shouldn't have problems there. Plus I think the Acer manual tells you how to do it.
On the screen, for the Acer 2012 I have read only very good to great things on screen quality. It is probably the best screen in that price range you can find. As compared to the 2025 or xBrite it isn't as bright but apart from that the image quality is great and, let's not forget that these laptops are far more expensive too - the 2025 is a good 1K more than the 2012.
And I don't think that the 2012 has a glossy screen.
Don't worry for the money you won't find a better screen. There might be a problem with availability though cause another member of this forum said that the 2012 is sold out virtually anywhere.
Good luck.

I found one a CDW. Does anyone know if CDW is any good? I heard both good and bad things about them...

Does anyone know of any other places that sell 2012?

their reviews are not among the best but they have good prices and also offer extended worrenties from Acer.
Can't recommend them on a normal day but if you want the 2012 your choices will be limited for it is about to get withdrawn from Acer line of aspires.
