dude, ok i think you need to know that it is perfectly safe buying something online with a credit card, or otherwise. I read an article on cnn, last month, and it talked about credit card security on the web, it said the there has never ever been a stolen credit card # from any real online stores. The only thefts are from fraudulent sites where the site is all fake and the products arent real. FYI, the reason this doesnt happen is because it is not really possible to steal. With the 128-bit ssl encryption and the fact that it sends out hundreds of packets of that information, which means its not all sent at once, but rather in a series of packets, it would be virtually impossible for anyone to A) Find those packets amongst the BILLIONS of packets circulating at that exact moment B) Even if they could somehow manage to get those packets, they couldn't decode them. C) Even if they were a computer god and managed to do all of the above (which they couldn't) and they managed to run up lots of charges on your credit card, one call to the credit card company explaining that you had you credit card stolen will waive you of all charges that you didn't put on there!
Even if you did a wire transfer and lets say adam took your money and moved to the bahamas, ( haha adam
) Your Cash in the bank is insured by the FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation) for up to 100,000 bucks, now i know you're not buys a 100,000 dollar computer so you have absolutly NOTHING to worry about. Online transactions are perfectly safe and absolutly nothing could go wrong as long as you're buying a product from a site that you know is a real company (which pctorque obviously is).
Yeah, sorry that was so long, but for some reason it pisses me off when people dont trust technology.
