Flash Drive

Thread Starter
I just bought a Lexar Media Jump Drive. My 8886 doesn't "see" it on any of the 4 USB ports, but when I plug it into a USB hub it is recognized, but the USB hub is not a high speed device so I'm told to plug into one of the ports on the Sager.

Any idea why this is happening?

I have only used that type of drives on a Latop with a USB Extension Cable. People have complained that there is not enough clearace so the USB part can not insert all the way. I think people were shaving a few millimeters of plastic off the drive to make it work but that is not something I would do.

It is a clearance issue. Use the extension cable. Let us know if that fixes it.

The power of SEARCH. I'm happy you're troubles have been worked-around. Hopefully Sager (or Clevo, rather) will avoid this in future case moldings.
