.mov to mpg?

i have a file in .mov format.. is it possible to convert it to .avi or .mpeg/.mpg?

i downloaded it. now what do i do? can you tell me steps? thanks alot for all your help

Ok, so you downloaded it. Open the software, and close the stupid Project Wizard thing by clicking cancel. Now on the bottom, there should be something that says Video Source. Click Browse and click on your .MOV file. Now set the name/directory you want the output to be placed in the "Output File Name" thing. If you want to change the MPEG compression settings on the bottom status bar, click Settings right next to it. When you're ready, click Start, and it will compress. Voila, you have an MPEG file from your MOV file!
