I had this exact problem on my 5690 and contacted the Sager tech support. Every 63 seconds exactly, the machine would hesitate. . .it was most obvious when listening to mp3s because the audio would stop. Sager suggested that it was the wireless card causing the problem or possibly a conflict with something in my startup. Well, after turning off everything in my startup, I figured it was time to look into the wireless card.
Some searching on this forum turned up the answer I needed. I had to go into G-EzLink and modify my profile so that I only had 11Mbps or 54Mbps checked but not both. This fixed the problem and I've never looked back.
I think Hentai suggested this very thing early on in this thread but I just wanted to stress that info since it fixed my problem.
I hope that takes care of your problem too.
