Well, by paying with eCheck to lower the price of my system, I've lost $124 because Paypal charged me twice for my laptop... then I went overdrawn in my account. YAYY FOR IT!!#*()53790-[

hopefully things willo look up once i RECEIVE the laptop.

Just got mine.

Just got mine today. I was wondering if you guys use any special apps to help with power consumption when running on battery. Are any of you using linux on your 4750? I'll post pics once my camera gets charged.
Nope. I would be really interested in how this handles linux. Especially the 64 bit linux.

The exact same thing happened to me on my 8790 order. I called the bank, they corrected it and credited me back all the charges. I had to send them affidavit (which they provided for me) that stated that one of the charges was not valid. I called PayPal, they basically told me they would do nothing. PayPal doesn't suck completely, but they do have some serious problems. The main problem is they don't really make any money off of eCheck transactions other than possibly the fact of temporarily having your money in their account, which gives them lending power. Banks ARE a big scam for the most part, anyway.

So far so good.

Everything with this laptop is great. My friends were shocked when they saw the screen. I only noticed one dead pixel on the bottom far right side of the screen. Barely noticable though. I'm planning on installing Gentoo on this sometime this week. I was also thinking of applying some as5. <--Does this effect the warranty?
