Worst Laptop Ever

Thread Starter
I have had my 8887 3.06mhz 1gig ram P4 Sager laptop for just about 1.5 years. It is my main work computer and I have to say I have never owned a worse laptop. It locks up on me all the time, the battier lasts about 2 min, it did last about 20 min when it was new. The thing is slower then dirt and dirt does not move that fast.

I recently bought an Emachine for one of my clients for around $880 that runs circles around my $2,700 Sager. The 8887 is a desktop replacement so why does it run like an old slow laptop?

I have formatted and started over several times and still slow with lockups. I have tried all of the tips and tricks everyone talks about with no luck. I called Sager and it will take 4 to 6 weeks for any repairs that need to be done. What a joke, even Emachine had about a 5 day turn around

I have been buying and selling computers for over 10 years now and I would have to say I am very glad I never sold anyone a Sager!!! Anyone on the forum need an extra fully loaded 8887.

Thanks for allowing me to vent.

Well im sure there's a good reason..... of course more detailed specs would probably answer what's wrong....
Also, if you bought a Sager for battery life, then you screwed up..

Final closing thought....
Well you did get 1.5 years of use out of it... What's the complaint really?!

And what condition is it in and how much ya want for it?!

hmm, well all I can say is you must have had a defective part all along cuz my Sager pwns every other laptop and most desktops I've been around. Sorry to hear how dissappointed you are tho

LoL 20 minutes on battery?
I'm very skeptical about his claims :P

Hehe. Walmart is now selling the cheapest laptops ever, pretty good specs for the price too. ~ $500. Funny thing is, they mention nothing about battery life I did research, 40 minutes of battery life. Im not kidding hehe. His claim might be valid haha. **** battery.

Sorry To hear about it dude

I have a 5670 with the same proc in it as yours, and it is really a very simmilar machine and I have had it for about the same amount of time as you have had yours and it still owns almost everything I ever use it around

Well Sagersucks.. have you ran any benches on this unit to see how it compares with others whom own the same model? That would be the place to start I would think.. Also, has it been this way since day one? If you've cleaned it..you might have a hardware problem...its to late to ask why you didn't send it back under warranty..and I assume you didnt take out an extended..Perhaps if you can run the benches..do temp checks.. we'll have more to go on other then it ''runs to slow''..numbers will tell a better story..and maybe someone here can help you pinpoint the problem..

Definitly there is a very good reason for that to be happening, but I won't say that 1.5 year is a good time for a notebook to last. I want my computers to last 10 years, at least.

Isn't there any hardware problems at all?

This individual is just trolling the forum, probably out of boredom. That's what they usually do: make a new account, post something controversial in a few places (2 posts from "SagerSucks"), and disappear forever, while everyone else is left to debate/harass/flame each other to the death. Meanwhile he/she/it is sitting back feeling satisfied by the commotion that has been caused.

Long story short, don't feed the trolls people.
