First of all many thanks to the membership of Notebookforums.com, your posts are a weath of information and took me days to go through. I'm getting a notebook this week and it will be either an Asus M6N or a Dell Latitude D800 with the following specs:

I'm aware of the tradeoffs and I will probably buy the one that is better-made/more reliable. Is the Asus better-built than the Dell Latitude? It would be cool if you could share your insights on one of or both of these models. Cheers.

Yes, take the Asus, reliability depends a lot on reseller as well.

The Asus itself is solid now you just have to pick a reseller.

I'd go for the Asus, very reliable and haven't heard of any serious problems with it.

Well, I just finished putting mine together (CD-Rom isn't here yet) And so far it's been nice. Now to see if it POSTs.

I would say go for the ASUS as well. Curious as to which reseller you are using, as I am also in Canada and am in the market for a new notebook myself

I'll probably get mine from Frontierpc.com. Also checkout Anitec.ca and Ncix.com.
