Can someone post a 1920x1200 (WUXGA) with...

If someone could post a screencapture with a page in word with some text in Times New Roman size 12 and winamp I would really appreciate it.

I will mainly use word, winamp and IE but I would like the big screen...don't know if it'll be too small though...

Thanks a lot!

Welcome to the forum. See either one of the XPS/ 9100 or General FAQ for some comparative pictures to start off with. This incudes pics with webpages and side-by-sides. Linked in my sig.

Thanks...

I did look there and I've also printed some samples but I didn't find anyone with an example from word (and since I'm writing all day long it's quite important for me that the text is easy to read).

By the way, is your HDD from Dell and if so, is it quiet when you're not gaming?

Fair enough, I'm sure someone with the WUXGA will oblige. Yes I got it from Dell but understand that like most other components it is not Dell branded. It is an Hitachi 7k60 (really the only 7200rpm laptop drive currently on the market excepting a failed Toshiba 50GB release) and is really quiet no matter what the usage, laptop HD's have come a long way in recent times.

In this section of the forum you may put it as an attachment. Simply when typing the message, when finished before posting click the 'manage attachments' button underneath and select the pic from your HD. After that post the message and the attachment will appear in it.

Thanks, to both of you - I'll definitely go for the 1920x1200-screen, it looks awesome!

Wished I'd gotten the WUXGA now. The WSXGA is great, and everything is easy to read, and the UXGA wouldn't have made things much smaller or hard to read. Nevermind. I am very happy with my WSXGA.

Screenshot of my D800 Desktop after some windows modifcation

This a sceenshot of my Desktop with modified look to Windows XP and some ActiveX desktop components (and a cool WinAmp skin).

After you work on a a high-res screen you feel crippled using a regular one again. The higher the resolution the better, just make shure your eyesight is good.

I completely agree. I also find normal 4x3 screen annoying too. Considering every other computer i use has XGA res and is 4x3, i just can't wait to get back to my WSXGA Widescreen i8600!!!

Few days ago I thought my girlfriends Toshiba was broken. Then I realized I had just gotten used to the tiny pixels of my WUXGA screen and the pixels of her XGA screen looked enormous by comparison. My first thought was "Is it in save mode? (640x480)" hehe

oh, i forgot to mention, it might be a good idea that people post there desktop up here, let others try out with there own laptop. I resized the 1900x1200 to 1680x1050 and can really feel how big the text is, eventhough not as clear. I think this example give me the feel of WUXGA ever. I will post my desktop up, so that you guys can feel it too. For those WXGA and WUXGA.

Oh, it is 15.4" widescreen, icon size is set at 48, no change in DPI
