I have noticed that my mouse will occasinoally stop for a second then jump to the position it should have scrolled to normally.

Any on else seen this behaviour?

I have installed all new drivers and my system is a 5690 with internal WLAN and I have been using a Microsoft intelimouse

if it is a wireless mouse its probably picking up interference from something else in the area. My suggestion would be to melt it and get a wired mouse. If it is wired check out what backround programs are running that could be interfering with it by using crtl+alt+del .

dude, i just got my 5690 yesterday. All i have installed so far is Itunes and it does the exact same thing! I paid over 2000 for this and its stuttering. It shouldnt be doing that. Has a gig of ram.

The stuttering isnt only limited to the mouse either, it does it while playing back music too.

i have had the same thing happen at times. a few times doing a windows restore point has cleared it up. its very annoyingwhen it happens. i cant seem to figure out why it happens, and why it seems to clear up.

i have exact same problem with mouse and music, and sometimes games, where its a consistant rate of stuttering (even during non taxing games like hl1, and i have a 6800go for gods sake, and 1.2 gigs of ram) it oculd either be the HD or the cpu, but the HD light never flashes and the cpu load never rises above 30%
