Headphone Noise

Just curious, I know the 8790 is reputed to have some interference when using the on board audio, does the 4750 suffer from similar problems? I plan on using mostly headphones while off at college because I like loud music but don't want to interrupt other people's studying.

The 3760 suffers from it a fair bit; I use a small battery-powered amplifier to boost the volume, and the buzzing comes through quite readily.

I have Grado SR-80's on my 4790 and late at night when ambient noise is minimal, I can hear static and hard drive activity though the headphone port. I got an external usb sound card and that solved the problem, music sounds much better as well.

i notice that if i open the cd drive door i do not hear any static through the headphones.....i also need it to be dead silent to hear anything...if i'm playing a game or listening to music, i do not hear any static or bad noises....
