Hey guys, I recently bought a Targus Notebook Cooler to help me with OCing. However, it was completey worthless and need something a little bit better. Does anyone know of a water cooler for a notebook? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Probably the best way to cool a laptop, but wouldn't that defeat its purpose of mobility? If you're worried about overheating, why don't you go for a desktop instead?

that seems...dangerous.

As far I know I don't think there's water cooling for notebooks yet. If you do come across something, please post it. I'd love love to see it.

The best way is to buy a external desktop kit. Take the shell of your laptop. And manualy work out a way to put the pipes around the gpu/cpu and uses zipties.

I tried a large piece of dry ice under the lappy, it didn't help much. I think the problem was a lack of airflow...I got better marks with a large fan than I did with dry ice.

Sometimes when my laptop gets pretty hot I put it on top of my air conditioner, 10 minutes later it's cool again.

there will never be watercooling in a notebook because the tubes have to be running a certain way. Like if you take a ALX system for example, and turn it on its side while its running, you will have major problems with the heating. So if you were to take your notebook, and put it under your arm for example, the cooling would become non existant and then you get overheating in the notebook. So the notebook would have to be in a normal sitting postion as long as its turned on or you get big time problems. Im not sure if many of you understand that but if you have ever installed or used a watercooled system you would get me.

You can water cool your notebook you just cant really move it. Thus defeating the purpose of a notebook.

That was one of the reasons I started this thread; I had heard about helidude's project and thought someone might know how to do it.
