That's the last thing I heard about watercooling for notebooks:

If you read the article it says it doesn't cool better than air it is just quieter. So for the extra money you have a hot quiet notebook that can not be tipped. I don't think it is worth it unless you do what Helidude did.

I read the article - thank you. I'm willing to spend a few extra buckazoids for a quieter rig, although the Area-51m is - compared to other P4 systems - already doing well.

Like I said before, there will never be water cooling in notebooks even if they do release a watter cooled notebook. It would sell like crap as soon as people realize you cant tip/move it.

And I think you're exagerrating the importance of the "tipping" issue. It's not as if lifting your water cooled lappy for a second or two to adjust its position on your desk would instantly incinerate your gpu and cpu, and if you're talking about more serious movement (i.e., folding it up and putting it under your arm or in a backpack, etc.), wouldn't you turn the thing off anyway? It's not as if you leave the fans running when you fold up your normal laptop, and the cpu seems to survive that just fine.

Even if it was turned off the liquid is still inside of it. You would probably have to drain out all the liquid. But who knows, or cares? The chances of there being a watercooled laptop released and sold at a decent rate are the same chances of toasters growing on trees.
