3DMark03 CPU marks

Hey guys, I'm running on an AMD64 3200+ with a 128mb 9700, I overclocked my GPU to 486/270 and got a score of 3616 3Dmarks which I thought was pretty good, but... I only got 309 CPU marks, is this normal for my CPU?

my pentium-m gets about 400 cpu marks.

I believe you should be getting somewhere around 600 with a 3200+ athlon64. Sounds like it might be running at 800-900mhz

Got it at 507 CPU marks, much better, but, for some reason after a good while of sitting idle (about 30 minutes of idleness) it drops back down to 800, is this normal?

Oh, nother question, is 200FSB normal for the A64's?

Yeah that's normal. Thats the PowerNow technology at work. You only use the full 2gigs of the 3200+ when the program you're running requires it. Otherwise when all you are doing is surfing the net and being idle the cpu will automatically idle down to 800mhz.

But, for some reason while I was playing Doom3 it dropped from 2ghz to 1.6ghz and stayed there, could the 1.6 of been all Doom needed so it just dropped?

No, since I got a 618 score on my low-power Mobile Athlon 64 2800+.

Ok, for some reason, even when i'm playing Doom3, with Power set to "Home/Office Desk," and having my PC run at 2ghz constant even when idle for a good 10mins before even playing doom3, after about 30minutes of play... it will hop back down to 800mhz and act like its set in Laptop mode. Any help or others with experience?!?!
