Hello to all

I am about to undertake my first notebook review, with the Asus A3000N series notebook. The review model i will be receiving from my wholesaler will have the following configuration and is an entry level model. Centrino 1.3, 256mb ram, MS XP PRO, 40Gb 4200rpm hdd, Dual +-DVD RW, 15" TFT, Wireless G.

I have a fair idea of how i am going to complete the review but i am greatly interested in your ideas and questions that you may have about this notebook which i may be able to answer for you while i am doing the review. Some other things are what benchmarks would you like to see performed.

thanks for your help look forward to hearing your questions and ideas.

Regards
Joel

I read in c'net asia that the a3 series is the newest series of asus and comes with integrated webcam and microphone.
Is that true (newest) and what GPU does the lappy have?

Pics welcome.

Hi FF

It is as far as i know the latest model, and is the only one listed as new in the august ASUS World Magazine. There is a Video Camera (0.35M pixels CCD) and a microphone.

The models that i am seeing are all using Pentium M and Celeron M processors with Centrino Technology.

The supplier has promised me a review unit mid week when they have stock so i will post some pictures in a day or two.

Regards
Joel
