What to buy now since the Acer 2021 is discontinued?

I had my mind set on the Acer 2012wlmi, but from what I've heard/read it is dicontinued. I've also seen the Travelmate 4501wlmi, and the 1662wlmi as options? I'm looking to spend 1200-1500 max. The 1662 seems to have the same specs as teh 2012, only it come with the P4 3.0ghz processor. Am I correct on this, and is it a good solution? Thanks for any help as I'm in desperate need of a laptop for school and business. Thanks!!!

There are still over 10 vendor showing the 2012 in stock on shopper.cnet.com. Even if the model is soon to be discontinued. It's still a laptop that is well worth it's cost.

No idea, but I ordered mine from pcconnection. Got a confirmation of the order. 3 days later they cancelled the order w/o notifying me. So when I asked why to follow up, they said it was a special and only on supply. So never got my laptop

Oh welll, I'll wait until December for one then. Hopefully something good get release by that time.

i just ordered an acer aspire 1662 I got it today and so far it is pretty sweet.

The 1662 comes pretty much with the identical specs and is priced in the low 1200's.
