Service pack 2

I just reinstalled windows XP on my lappie because of service pack 2. Does any notice that the window logo screen doesn't say professional below it now, just displays Windows XP.

So did you redo windows because of problems with sp2... or did you want a fresh copy to put sp2 on?

I was reading about compatibilty issues that SP2 was causing so I decided it's better to have a fresh system with no headaches.

Dont listen to mudders
Iv done it on 5 pc and all havent got a problem. And they all run varity of programs.

It seems to vary with every PC. You may not have a problem but I installed it onto a test PC at work (hardly running anything) and now the CPU frquently locks up. Had to reinstall XP all over again.

I've had it installed for a while.. I haven't had any problems. I also have installed Aston Shell/Alt-Desktop and it runs perfect... I would say better than then SP1...

new to the forums, but SP2 works great, no problem with anything...so far. i like the new firewall and popup blocker.
