Moreover, you should not assume that you can buy Sager notebooks from pctorque everywhere in the world. Unfortunately ...

Btw.: Does anybody have RELIABLE information that either the next mobile PCI-E ATI or Nvidia chip will have 12 or even 16 pipes?

i agree with you on the "buying the best available" motto, but if you buy the dell, you are buying into an old, almost-outdated, almost-obsolete technology (s478, DDR1, AGP, etc.), whereas if you wait a couple months and go with the Sager, you will be on the crest of the new wave in technology with all of the new interfaces/whatever (LGA775, DDR2, PCI-E, etc.), and therefore guaranteeing upgradeability in the future. and furthermore, like Ogre said, do you really want to buy a Dell?

As for the Sager + PCT slight, there are plenty of other international sager resellers you know...

and also, if the mr9800 had 8 pipes, i would assume the M28 (PCI-E version of the card, to be followed up by a pro version later) will have at least that many, if not more as it will still be based on the R420 (aka x800) core, while the NV41m will be based on the desktop NV40/41, which is the geforce 6800 (which has 12/16 pipes), so i would think that there is a good chance of the next ATI and Nvidia cards having 12-16 pipelines in them.
