Codecs are all jacked up

Hey guys. I noticed last night that I couldn't play certain avi files that I could before. So I uninstalled all my codecs, reinstalled one at a time to see if the file would play and after all of them were installed, I still got nothing.

Codecs I installed: Nimo, Angelpotion, xvid, and divx. I was looking around the net for something to completely remove them all but I couldn't find anything.

Any help please. Missed the current Nip/Tuck and can't play it.

Thanks.

LOL, my gf got it working. Reminds me of the AOL commercial with the kid smashing the mouse with a play hammer.

A good utility for this situation is 'Gspot' -- it analyzes video files to see what codec it requires, and lets you know if that codec is installed.
