issue with a desktop maybe someone can help me

Hi everyone,

I have a computer here that is a clone. Everything is integrated on the motherboard. Unfortunatley I dont have a driver disk, and I cant find anything on the board that tells me what lan card, modem and audio is on the board is there any utility out there that can scan the mobo and find this info out? should I just toss the PC?

if you know the mobo model, you can look it up, since everything is integrated they all have the same things on it, the mfg website will usually tell you what's on it, they probably even offer the drivers as well, if that fails, sisoft or aida should tell you i think (unless it goes by the drivers, in which case you're probably SOL), good luck

i have no idea what make the mobo is - all i know its an intel i810 chipset, this is a generic PC, no manufacturer - probably a homemade system.

by the way where can I get a dothan processor?

Try using something like SiSandra or PC Wizard 2004. Those should identify that information for you (I think)

You can buy them at Newegg last time I checked. Bought one from there. I'm assuming this is for a laptop, because you can't use the Dothan in a desktop.

Im looking to buy the dothan for my laptop - its a gateway m505x - i remember reading something once that they were upgradable.
